A Drop in the Ocean still has a small team in Greece. They are in close contact with “camp management” and the Greek authorities at our various locations, to find out what needs exist and what we can do to meet them.
With the help of our fantastic “resident volunteers”, we have, among other things, carried out several distributions in Skaramagas and Nea Kavala.
In Skaramagas we have distributed diapers, while in Nea Kavala we have distributed food boxes with fruits, vegetables and eggs.
On Lesvos we have delivered 7,000 surgical face masks to the medical actors inside Moria refugee camp, 20,000 more have been ordered and are soon on their way to the camp.
We have also purchased medicines, as well as 200 liters of medical hand disinfection.
We have also started online teaching programs, where students who previously participated in our informal learning activities can continue their online courses with a teacher at the other end.
Thank you to all of you who continue to support us, you make a difference!
