A report may, for example, address:
- Criminal activities
- Bullying/harassment
- Fraud
- Corruption
- Breach of safety procedures
- Discrimination
- Abuse of power
How can you report?
When submitting a report, you can choose to disclose your identity or remain anonymous. A description of the concerning matter can be sent to complaint@drapenihavet.no or via this contact form.
Reports and complaints go directly to our Chair of the Board and our Secretary General, who, along with a designated staff member, form the secretariat responsible for handling such reports. You can also report directly to a trusted staff member or one of our board members. All employees are obligated to escalate the matter internally.
What happens after a report?
A Drop in the Ocean has internal procedures to follow up on whistleblowing or complaints. If you provide your identity and contact information with the report, we will inform you when it has been received. A conversation may also be necessary to gather further information. We will follow up on every report by verifying the provided details. The outcome and any resulting actions will depend on the severity of the issue and the available documentation. If criminal activities are reported, the relevant authorities will be involved.
Anyone who reports concerning matters will be protected from retaliation.
We are responsible for maintaining privacy for all involved parties, and therefore will not provide detailed feedback about outcomes or any sanctions imposed on others.
