Logistics Coordinator Oslo

We are currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Oslo, Norway! The logistics coordinator will be responsible for Dråpen i Havet’s overall logistics in Oslo related to a new project that is under development. This includes sourcing and receiving donations, setting up distributions of clothes and other non-food items, and more. Experience in procurement and organising distributions is necessary. The Logistics Coordinator will be working with a team of volunteers and previous experience working with volunteers is an asset. 

You have to be able to start as soon as possible and commit for at least 3 months.

Application deadline: 24 April 2022. Applications are considered on a rolling basis. Successful candidates will be called for interviews as soon as possible.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Keep an overview of needs for supply, and make sure we at all times have what is need.  
  • Call for necessary donations and finding suppliers.
  • Receive donations (unpacking, sorting, labeling, packing).
  • Meeting and training of field workers.
  • Maintenance of security and cleanliness where our supplies are kept.

Qualifications

  • Experience within logistics such as supply chain management as well as warehouse management
  • Experience in or knowledge of donation procurement.
  • Good knowledge of database/spreadsheet management and maintenance.
  • Service minded, good communication skills and experience with problem solving.
  • Fluent in English, knowledge of Ukrainian and Norwegian is an advantage.
  • Project management and team leading skills.
  • Experience from humanitarian work, primarily from areas in crisis is valuable.
  • Valid driver’s license

In order to be considered for this position, you must be able to work in Oslo, Norway for at least 3 months. 

All coordinators and field workers are required to provide us with a valid police certificate/background check before starting their assignment.

Volunteer Coordinator Oslo

We are currently seeking a volunteer coordinator to join our team in Oslo, Norway! The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting and coordinating volunteers for a new project in Oslo. The Volunteer Coordinator should have experience working in and/or managing a multicultural team in a fast phased environment. 

You have to be able to start as soon as possible and commit for at least 3 months.

Tasks

  • Recruitment of volunteers and ensure sufficient number of volunteers for all activities and tasks
  • Induction, training, and mentoring of volunteers 
  • Manage and coordinate day-to-day volunteer work 
  • Organise regular team meetings
  • Ensure flow of information on relevant platforms
  • Responsible for specific project/activities may be relevant. In such cases, qualitative and quantitative data collection to implement and ensure follow-up on relevant M&E plans. 
  • Other relevant tasks requested by the Site Coordinator

Qualifications

  • University degree in relevant fields such as social science, teaching, human resources. 
  • Experience from humanitarian organisations, volunteer work and volunteer management in particular
  • Leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Service minded and ability to work in multicultural settings
  • Fluent in English; Ukrainian and other context relevant languages (i.e. Norwegian) are an advantage
  • Good collaboration and team work abilities

Er du engasjert i situasjonen for mennesker på flukt i Hellas, og ønsker å bidra til å rekruttere feltarbeidere eller ta initiativ til å opprette innsamlingsaksjoner i ditt lokalområde? Vi søker flere frivillige bidragsytere og lokallagskoordinatorer til ulike lokallag i Norge.

Lokallagskoordinatoren er et bindeledd mellom lokallaget som etableres av frivillige og organisasjonens administrasjon. Lokallagskoordinatoren utgjør en del av det frivillige arbeidet som utføres i regi av Dråpen i Havet. 

Både lokallagskoordinator og frivillige i lokallagene bistår med å:

  • Gjennomføre informasjonsmøter for fremtidige frivillige feltarbeidere fire ganger pr år, eller ved behov
  • Bidra og ta initiativ til å opprette innsamlingsaktiviteter og eventer lokalt med støtte fra administrasjonen
  • Stille opp på forespørsler og eventer som arrangeres lokalt.
  • Bidrar med vervekampanjer lokalt med støtte fra administrasjonen/ giveransvarlig

Vi søker deg som har gode mellommenneskelige egenskaper, utpreget serviceinnstilling, erfaring fra problemløsning og gjerne har vært tidligere feltarbeid for Dråpen i Havet. For lokallagskoordinatorer kreves i tillegg at du har god kjennskap til bruk av ulike grunnleggende dataverktøy.
